Responsibilities:
- Design & Review of Complete Firefighting System for various clients.
- Analyze design solutions using engineering principles and advanced engineering methods.
- Write Detailed Technical Reports based on design analysis/Gap findings (Audit Reports).
- Preparation of Design Basis Reports based on Indian (NBC, IS, OISD) & International Standards like NFPA, GB, BIS, FM & UL.
- Serve as the team’s technical subject matter expert and technical escalation resource.
- Identify potential gaps and provide with possible solutions.
- Development of Auto CAD layouts for various facilities
- Optimize fire protection designs for efficiency, reliability, and safety while considering the unique needs of each project.
- Executing software-based engineering studies such as
- Pipe sizing and Water demand calculations.
- Hydraulic calculations on PipeNet, FHC Canute
- F&G Mapping on Detect 3D, Effigy-Kenexis
- Preparation of Technical Specifications, BOQ/BOM, RFQ etc.
- Attend design review and scope discussion meetings with clients.
- Manage the design and estimation phases of fire protection projects, from initial concept to final proposal.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems and timely completion of milestones.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Electrical/Mechanical/Fire).
- Experience in fire protection systems design and estimation
- Strong Technical knowledge of Fire & Gas detection systems and Fire Suppression systems.
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Typically requires 4 to 8 years of experience in the Fire designing domain in various Industries and Commercial projects.
- Willing to Travel as and when required.
- Knowledge of Standards as per (NBC, NFPA, IS, FM, OISD).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team Management and Leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional certification in fire protection engineering is a plus
- Proficiency in CAD.
