  • Perform Electrical System Design & Design Reviews, validating power distribution architecture, panel design, and drawings against IEC/NEC criteria.
  • Carry out Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Studies, Transient Studies, and Relay Coordination studies using industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., ETAP).
  • Execute Arc Flash Hazard Assessments per IEEE 1584-2018 methodology, including PPE category determination and safe working boundary definition.
  • Conduct Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) studies for facilities handling flammable/explosive atmospheres.
  • Undertake Lightning Protection Risk Assessments and Design for industrial, commercial, and utility clients.
  • Prepare Cable Schedules and Routing Plans, and review cable/switchgear ratings for derating, ageing, and overload risks.
  • Perform Thermography Surveys and interpret findings for preventive maintenance recommendations.
  • Support LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) studies and energy isolation procedure development.
  • Prepare clear, client-ready technical reports, calculations, and engineering drawings/documentation.
  • Liaise with client engineering and EHS teams during site visits, data collection, and audit closure.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with applicable statutory and international standards (CEA, IEC, NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, OSHA).
  • Support senior team members and Operations Lead in project planning, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-building on electrical safety and design best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong fundamentals in electrical system design, power distribution, and protection coordination.
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes/standards: IEC, NEC, CEA Regulations, IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E, OSHA.
  • Hands-on experience (or strong working knowledge) of ETAP or similar power system simulation software.
  • Familiarity with Arc Flash Studies, Short Circuit/Load Flow Analysis, and Relay Coordination.
  • Exposure to Hazardous Area Classification and Lightning Protection design is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or relevant electrical design/drafting tools.
  • Strong report writing, documentation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites for audits, surveys, and data collection as required.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a safety-first approach.

Preferred Background

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in electrical design consulting, EHS/electrical safety auditing, or industrial electrical engineering roles.
  • Prior exposure to petrochemical, FMCG, or manufacturing plant environments preferred.
  • Experience working with consulting firms or EPC/engineering service providers is a plus.
  • Candidate must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.

What We Offer
