Position – Senior Electrical Engineer - Electrical Safety & Design
The Best Fit:
- Engineers with exposure to plant operations, maintenance in following sectors – Oil & gas, chemical, pharma & cement or, other core sectors.
- Exposed to Electrical design and Safety Management system.
- Basic understanding of chemical and process risk.
- Must have graduation in Electrical Engineer from Tier 1 & 2 institutes.
Objectives of this Role:
- Providing knowledge-based consulting to top notch manufacturing corporates and manufacturing plants perspective Engineering Risk Management.
- Lead a team of 5-8 electrical engineers.
- Capable of reviewing Electrical Design Plans and work schedules.
- Capable of equipment sizing calculation like Transformers, Cables, Switchgears selection.
- Understanding of Earthing system, lighting system and lightning protection system.
- Knowledge in operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Experience in leading Electrical Safety Audits, Safety Trainings
- Shall be conversant with CEA Regulations, BIS, NFPA, IEC, IEEE
- Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
- Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
- Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
- Shall be conversant with software’s like AutoCAD, Dialux, ETAP
- Analysing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
- Conducting research around best engineering and risk management approached across globe.
- Hazardous Area Classification knowledge is an add-on.
Must Have - Core Competencies & Qualification
- Must have plant exposure and to electrical field work.
- Fluent in English.
- Typically requires 10+ of experience in the Electrical Engineering & Engineering Related domain in various Industries and commercial projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Knowledge of CEA and various NFPA, IEC, IEEE and IS standards.
- Knowledge of NFPA will be an added advantage.
- Technical expertise in applying engineering principles, techniques & methods to the best of knowledge.
- Client handling and helping and guiding the marketing team in technical aspects.
- Additional license or certification will be appreciated.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
