Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Sales & Marketing Executive who understands the language of the shop floor and can convert technical complexity into high-value business propositions.
This is an end-to-end sales ownership role — from lead generation and site visits to final negotiations, deal closure, invoicing, and payment follow-ups.
The ideal candidate is comfortable visiting industrial sites, interacting with Plant Heads and EHS Leaders, and driving structured technical discussions with internal engineering teams (specially the decision makers)
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Market Penetration
- Identify and penetrate new B2B accounts across manufacturing, chemical, and industrial sectors across Pan India (excluding Mumbai & Gujarat).
- Conduct industrial area visits (minimum twice per month).
- Generate new leads through field networking and structured outreach.
- Technical Consultative Selling
- Leverage your engineering background to understand:
- Shop floor operations
- Safety & compliance challenges
- Utility & maintenance risks
- Translate client pain points into tailored consulting and digital solutions.
- Arrange and coordinate technical discussions between client teams and Sparrow’s engineering experts.
- Sales Lifecycle Management
- Prospect, qualify leads, conduct presentations.
- Manage long sales cycles involving multi-stakeholder negotiations.
- Close high-value consulting contracts.
- Relationship Management & Growth
- Build long-term client relationships to ensure:
- Repeat business
- Cross-selling & upselling
- Strategic account development
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
- Commercial & Operational Ownership
- Maintain structured sales pipeline & forecasting using CRM tools.
- Coordinate proposal preparation with internal teams.
- Support invoicing process post project confirmation.
- Follow up for timely payments and ensure revenue realization.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of proven B2B Sales experience in:
- Industrial equipment
- Engineering consultancy
- Technical services
- Experience handling long sales cycles & multi-stakeholder negotiations.
- Strong understanding of industrial shop floor operations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English & Hindi.
- Willingness to travel across India (minimum 2 trips per month).
