Job description

• Lead the design and review process of comprehensive firefighting systems for diverse clientele, demonstrating proficiency in CAD software.
• Produce detailed technical reports based on design analysis and gap findings (Audit Reports).
• Develop Design Basis Reports adhering to Indian (NBC, IS, OISD) and international standards such as NFPA, IFC, IBC, GB, BIS, FM & UL
• Create AutoCAD layouts tailored to various facility requirements.
• Oversee software-based engineering studies including hydraulic calculations on pipe networks using PIPENET, FHC Canute, and F&G mapping using Detect 3D and Effigy-Kenexis.
• Prepare technical specifications, Bills of Quantities/Materials, Requests for Quotation, among others.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and exploring new technologies and methodologies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Team management and ownership of supporting multi-disciplinary cross functional teams of Engineers of Fire Systems and Mechanical Engineers.
• Design and drawings reviews of Firefighting systems.

Requirements

• Possess a robust technical understanding of fire and gas detection systems and state-of-the-art and conventional fire suppression systems.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (Electrical/Mechanical/Fire).
• Demonstrate 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in fire system design across various O&G sectors, industrial and commercial projects.
• Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
• Familiarity with standards such as NBC, NFPA, IS, FM, OISD.
• Additional safety certifications such as CFPS, WBITM, NEBOSH, OSHAS, or similar will be advantageous.
